Michelle’s Special Education Advocacy

Calm, Confident Advocacy That Gets Results

If you’re here, you’re likely tired of feeling unheard at the IEP table, frustrated by vague promises from the school, and worried your child isn’t getting what they need.

You’re in the right place.

I help parents like you turn confusion into clarity and fear into confident action, so your child gets the support they deserve in school.

HI!

I’m Michelle Velazquez, your Master IEP Coach®

I know how overwhelming it feels to watch your child struggle while you’re left fighting to be heard in IEP meetings, trying to piece together confusing evaluations, and wondering what you’re missing.

I’ve been there myself—sitting in meetings with a shaking voice, raising concerns, asking questions, showing up again and again, only to feel like no one was truly listening.

That experience shaped the advocate I am today.

Now, I help parents turn that overwhelm into clarity, and that fear into calm, confident action. I guide you through the special education process so you understand what your child needs and how to ask for it effectively, without burning bridges, and without giving up on what your child deserves.

Whether your child has sensory processing needs, autism, ADHD, or another unique learning profile, I help you decode what’s really happening and translate it into supports that help your child thrive.

Because every parent deserves to feel prepared, and every child deserves a team that believes in their potential—and delivers on it.

    What Makes My Approach Different

Calm, Clear Advocacy
I don’t believe in chaos or fear tactics. I help you advocate with clarity and confidence while maintaining healthy relationships with your child’s team.

Collaborative, But Results-Focused
I believe in collaboration first, but I know how to spot when a school is stalling, and I will help you address it without unnecessary conflict.

Parent-Led Empowerment
You remain the leader of your child’s team. I’m here to give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to step into that role with calm authority.

No More Guessing at IEP Meetings

Your child’s education isn’t a guessing game. When you work with me, you walk into meetings prepared, knowing exactly what to ask, what to look for, and what your child needs next.

I help you understand your child’s data, identify what’s missing, and communicate effectively so the team listens. You won’t be left with vague answers or last-minute surprises again.

Goals That Fit Your Child—Not the System

Your child deserves goals that reflect who they are, how they learn, and what they need, not what’s easiest for the system to measure.

I help you build and advocate for clear, practical goals that make sense, so your child isn’t stuck repeating the same skills year after year.

An IEP You Can Actually Use

If your child’s IEP landed on a stranger’s desk tomorrow, would it be clear what your child needs?

If the answer is no, it’s time for a change.

I help you build a plan that makes sense, is easy to follow, and actually helps your child get the support they need in school.

The Stimulation Profile, developed by Michelle Velazquez, is a proven system that helps identify and address your child’s sensory, executive functioning, and learning needs clearly and calmly.

For Parents:

The Parent Version of the Stimulation Profile helps you understand what is really happening with your child in the classroom and helps blend their at-home experience into the classroom, helps you and their teachers decode their needs, and shares clear information with your IEP team to secure the right supports without overwhelm.

Exciting news!

Your service packages with Michelle already include everything covered in the Stimulation Profile. This means you will naturally explore your child’s sensory, executive functioning, and learning needs as part of your advocacy journey—without overwhelm or confusion.

For School Districts

The Stimulation Profile System is available for school districts seeking to improve outcomes for students with sensory processing needs, ADHD, Autism, and executive functioning challenges.

This system helps your teams:

  • Identify and document student needs clearly

  • Align supports IDEA and FAPE requirements

  • Reduce behavior referrals and improve instructional access

  • Build a shared language across general and special education teams

I provide licensing options, professional development, and implementation support so your district can use the Stimulation Profile System with confidence and clarity.

What Working With Me Feels Like

Imagine leaving your next IEP meeting with peace of mind—and maybe even a quiet moment of celebration in the parking lot.

That’s not wishful thinking. That’s what happens when you have the right plan, the right support, and a clear voice at the table.

✔️You leave the meeting knowing your child is getting the services and supports they need—because you helped make it happen.

✔️You trust your instincts and know exactly how to take action when something doesn’t feel right.

✔️ You show up as a respected, prepared member of your child’s IEP team, not just someone sitting quietly at the end of the table.

And what you can leave behind:

❌ The tears of frustration that hit on the drive home after meetings.

❌ IEP goals that feel copied and pasted, with nothing reflecting who your child truly is.

❌ The second-guessing and doubt that keeps you awake at night, replaying every conversation.

This is a partnership. You bring your love and insight—I’ll bring strategy, clarity, and calm support.

Get to the Root

IEP challenges are rarely just surface-level. I help you look beyond behaviors and paperwork to understand what’s really going on, so we can create a plan that addresses your child’s true needs—not just the symptoms.

Collaborate with Purpose

There is no one-size-fits-all Individualized Education Plan (IEP). I collaborate with your child’s IEP team to create a plan that genuinely suits your child and aligns with your concerns. I understand the importance of raising difficult questions when necessary. Lack of data is never the final answer; together, we will work with the IEP team to gather the information needed to support your child’s education effectively where it matters most!

Stay On Track

No more wondering what got missed or who’s supposed to follow through. Together, we’ll put clear systems in place to monitor progress, follow up on action items, and make sure your child’s needs don’t get lost in the shuffle.

What Parents Are Saying

  • James Palazzo

“Michelle was exceptional in helping us secure the 504 Plan for our daughter and advocating for the services our son needed. She knew exactly how to navigate the system, helped us prepare for meetings, and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. Her compassion and clear guidance made all the difference for our family.”

  • Bryan H

My daughter is 16 years old with Autism and even to this day has never met Michelle. But that made absolutely no difference to Michelle. She listened to my troubles when I came to her. Michelle provided not only the proper guidance as to how to get my daughter what she needed but also the patience and compassion to listen to me. Michelle’s combined expertise as an advocate and her empathy and compassion as a human being can help anyone struggling to get their child the education and care they deserve. My daughter is in school now and is thriving. I will always be indebted to Michelle for her help. The kids are her mission.

  • Heather R, Parent

“Michelle is truly the best advocate you can have! She consistently works to resolve issues quickly and calmly, helping us avoid the need to file complaints. She addressed our concerns before they escalated into bigger problems, and I am incredibly grateful for her clear and steady support. Having someone in your corner who provides strategies to help you overcome your biggest fears is truly amazing!”

  • Erica M., Parent

“Michelle helped us understand what was missing in our son’s IEP and gave us the confidence to ask for what he needed. For the first time, we felt prepared going into the meeting, and we left knowing we finally had a plan that fits him.”

  • Nina L., Parent

“I didn’t know how much was being overlooked in my daughter’s evaluations until Michelle explained it in a way I could understand. She helped us request the additional testing we needed, and now we finally have clear answers and a path forward.”

  • Carlos R., Parent

“Having Michelle by our side during the IEP process made all the difference. She helped us translate our son’s sensory needs into real supports at school, and the difference in his day-to-day experience has been amazing. I wish we had found her sooner.”
